Chamoun in 1948 - "Zionist Danger to Lebanon"

Here's an interesting blast from the past that I happened to run across. In 1948, according to the Lebanese Minister Chamoun (some names in Lebanese politics never go away), "The Arabs ... were now defending the world against Communism, which was being introduced to the Middle East under cover of Zionism."

Chamoun didn't realize that it was actually the other way around--the Zionists had taken over the Soviet Union, under cover of Communism. Now, of course, they run the US. Some things change ... and some things stay the same.
