LA firefighters rescue a Haitian woman trapped under the rubble of a bank
A remarkable and moving video, showing the almost miraculous rescue of an amazing survivor. When she's found and brought out after spending 6 days trapped under the rubble, this incredibly un-fazed woman begins singing ("Don't be afraid of death ..."). The phrase "triumph of the human spirit" is in danger of becoming an overworked cliché, but this looks to me like a genuine example. It's worth watching the whole video clip (which is not too long):
