Jon Stewart explains the politics of health care reform
When Stewart is good, he's very good. This is hilarious as well as substantive. More precisely, the first half of this video clip is wickedly on-target, until Stewart lets it get a bit silly ... but the second half, with John Oliver at the RNC winter meeting in Hawaii, is brilliant. Watch it HERE (or below).
OK, this doesn't measure up to the most serious substantive debates over health care policy issues, which are genuinely complex--it's a comedy show, after all. But the level of analysis and factual information is well above most of the political sloganeering we've been hearing in the health-care dogfight this year. That's a bit scary, isn't it?
